And it just keeps getting better! With the move of International Sailing School, we have been given the opportunity to move to their former location at the Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove, 6800 Sunshine Skyway Ln., St. Petersburg, FL 33711. We are close to both Tampa International and Clearwater-St. Petersburg International airports, and a stone's throw from Interstate 275.

Well, we made it! We turned TEN years old last month. Thank you to all of our valued customers, many of whom have also become great friends. Without your support we would not be here today - THANK YOU!

Great news! On December 1, 2009, we moved to St. Pete Beach! Yup, you read it right, St. Pete Beach! After little more than a year at the downtown St Petersburg location, we have been given the opportunity to move to Dolphin Landings’ coveted beach location. This will afford a better launch point for overnight and multi-day charters and instructional trips. Additionally, we will occasionally be doing sunset sails starting from Merry Pier, which is located in Pass-A-Grille. This will give us the opportunity to view the sunset from the Gulf of Mexico. Well, we've finally done it! 2008 will be the year for some significant changes in Adventures In Sailing's operations. After being in Hudson for more than eight years, it's time to move.
For eight years, we were the best American Sailing Association affiliate sailing school on West Florida's Nature Coast. Located in Hudson, we experienced steady growth, allowing us to build a strong foundation of trust, integrity and great friendships. We were recently given a fabulous opportunity to move to St. Petersburg, right at the Pier!
Adventures In Sailing, Inc. is now conveniently located in the Vinoy Yacht Basin, adjacent the "Weddings On The Water" wedding chapel boat. We are right down the street from the world famous St. Pete Pier, with plenty of parking in the Dolphin parking lot, right off 2nd Ave. NE. We are very conveniently located near the Tampa International Airport, the Clearwater-St. Pete Airport and a mere stone's throw from Albert Whitted Field. We offer private as well as group instruction. We are an American Sailing Association Professional Certification Facility. We also offer half-, full- and multi-day charters, sunset sails, weddings, snorkeling and swimming excursions, corporate team building, clothing optional and all lifestyle charters. Founded in January 2000, Adventures In Sailing was begun, first and foremost, to share the love and joy of sailing with young and old alike.
Additionally, we have had the distinction of an affiliation with Dolphin Landings and Boating at the Pier. With this new partnership, we are able to offer an intimate charter cruise from two to 200. In business for more than 30 years, these folks definitely know how chartering is done!
"New Dawn" is a Morgan Out Island 41 Ketch. At just over 41 feet in overall length and a nearly 14-foot beam, she provides plenty of space and comfort for up to eight (including crew) for trips of up to a week or more!
We also offer powerboat handling instruction and professional yacht delivery service.

Because of this location’s proximity to the Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico, we will be able to significantly increase the opportunity for our customers and students to get in and out without regard for the tide changes, being able to come and go whenever we desire. This brings us to the next big piece of news.
Even though we have been a dealer for the Island Packet® Big Fish™ for the last two years, we have not really had any place to demonstrate this boat. With our new venue, we will now be able to offer demonstration rides as well as instruction on sailing your new Big Fish™ from Island Packet Yachts®.
If you are at all familiar with the venerable Sun Fish™ by Vanguard Yachts®, you will certainly recognize the Big Fish™. There are, however, some important differences. The Big Fish™ is approximately 2-1/2 ft. longer, about 1 ft. wider on the beam and has a rounder hull bottom, which allows for easier tacking and better stability. In addition to all this, we will now be able to begin doing charters and sunset sails. Although initially these charters will all be crewed, it is our desire in the not too distant future to be able to offer bare boat charters to those sailors who are qualified to take a boat out on their own.
